Evelyn has an honours M.A. in Drama and Performance from UCD. She holds a diploma in Performance from LAMDA and a teaching Diploma in Speech and Drama from the London College of Music. She is an examiner in Drama and Communication with the Royal Irish Academy of Music, examining at several feiseanna and teaches the new Leaving Certificate subject, Drama, Film and Theatre Studies.

Evelyn has directed plays for many years through her Drama Dynamics School, working with students across all age groups and experience levels. She is passionate about bringing drama to new audiences and performers and values the essential role of the All-Ireland Drama Festival.

Since 2022, Evelyn has adjudicated across One-Act and Three-Act festivals nationwide. Her first festival was in Kiltyclogher, where she received a warm welcome—one that she has found echoed at drama festivals across the country. This generosity of spirit and shared love of theatre are, for her, among the great strengths of the drama community.
