Brendan Murray

Brendan is a graduate of the Gaiety School of Acting and UCD, holding an honours MA in Modern Drama Studies. He has worked as an actor/director for over 20 years in Dublin and Galway.

Ciaran McCauley

Ciaran is from Sligo and has been a core member of Blue Raincoat Theatre Company since 1991. Ciaran has gained a wealth of “ hands on” experience in all aspects of Theatre life primarily as an actor but, also directing, designing lighting, sets and many other factors.

Michael McCabe

Michael McCabe is Artistic Director of a Lumiere Theatre Company, a physical theatre company aiming for a creative holistic centre for performing artists and the general public. He is a graduate of the prestigious Ecole Internationale de Theater Jacques Lecoq, Paris, and the Gaiety School of Acting.

Paul Brennan

Paul has worked as a professional actor, director, playwright, adjudicator and teacher for over forty years. He has directed with the Abbey, the Gate and other Dublin theatres with Druid, with Island in Limerick and with Red Kettle in Waterford.

Tom Byrne

Tom has over 40 years involvement with amateur drama and competed in his first festival in 1979.

Tony McCleane-Fay

Tony obtained a post-graduate degree in Performance Studies from Middlesex University in 1996 and an MA in Drama & Theatre Studies from UCC in 2004. He has been directing stage productions for approx. twenty years both in Ireland and the U.K.

Ailbhe Garvey-Hughes

Ailbhe Garvey-Hughes has been involved in theatre for most of her life. She holds a Fellowship from the London College of Music and a Licentiate from Trinity College.

Alan Haslett

Involved with theatre for fifty years, Alan has a wealth of experience as an actor, singer, director and adjudicator. He is also a member of the Guild of Drama Adjudicators, UK, and has adjudicated thirty festivals in England, Scotland, Wales and the Isle of Man, as well as the length and breadth of Ireland.

Alan Howley

Alan has been a professional actor since 1989 and has performed nationally and internationally including shows in Dublin Theatre Festival, Dublin Fringe Festival, Edinburgh Fringe, as well as festivals in France, Germany, Denmark, Holland, Finland, Sweden, Belgium and Malaysia.

Anna Walker

Anna is a member of ADA since 2008 and is proud to have had the opportunity of adjudicating The One Act Drama Finals in Ennis in 2011, The Confined Drama Finals in Castleblayney in 2016, The All Ireland Drama Finals in Athlone in 2018 and The One Act Drama Finals in Rossmore in 2019.

Aodh McCay

Aodh is a member of the executive committee of the Association of Drama Adjudicators (ADA) and is presently its PRO. He has been involved in amateur drama throughout his adult life and has directed and acted in many productions.

Declan Drohan

Declan Drohan M.A. H.Dip.Ad.Ed. currently lectures on the BA Hons. Programme in Performing Arts at Atlantic Technological University Sligo, and the multidisciplinary MA in Creative Practice.

Evelyn O'Sullivan

Evelyn has been an actor, director, and teacher for almost 20 years. Evelyn received her Teaching Diploma in Speech and Drama from the London College of Music and also holds a Performance Diploma from the London Academy of Dramatic Arts.

Geoff O'Keeffe

Since beginning his adjudicating career in 2009, Geoff has adjudicated one act and full-length festivals all over the country.

Imelda McDonagh

Imelda McDonagh is a multi-award-winning director and actress with a first-class honours M.A. in Theatre Studies. She is a qualified Make-Up Artist and holds a Licentiate in Speech and Drama from the London College of Music.

John P Kelly

John has adjudicated on the circuits in Ireland, Scotland and Canada for over thirty years, officiating at all levels, twice at the All-Ireland Finals in Athlone and once at the finals in Scotland and also of late in Canada.

Lee Wilson

Lee holds both Canadian and Irish citizenship and is the founding artistic director of Resurgence Theatre Company in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada where he directed critically acclaimed productions of Hamlet, Twelfth Night and Romeo and Juliet.

A Falkland Islander, Michael was educated in Argentina and England, and trained for theatre at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (L.A.M.D.A.), London. He works as a Director, Set and Lighting Designer, Fight Director, Writer, Actor and Son et Lumiere designer. Currently Artistic Director of the Ulster Theatre Company.

Paddy Farrelly

Paddy is the Technical Manager at the Ramor Theatre Virginia and Townhall Theatre Cavan. He has been involved in theatre for over 20 years, qualifying for the confined finals on many occasions.

Paula Dempsey

Paula is a professional actor and director. She has worked on programmes including The Accrington Pals and The Wild Poppy Blowing for RTE Radio produced by John Mac Kenna.

Pauline Byrne

Pauline holds an MA in modern Drama from UCD having previously majored in Aesthetics and Criticism during her four year degree course in Drama at York University, Toronto, Canada.

Walker Ewart OBE

Walker Ewart is a native of Castledawson, south Derry in N. Ireland and is living currently in Bangor Co. Down. He has been an adjudicator for 24 years, working mainly throughout Ireland and Scotland, and recently discovered in England!
